Thanks A Million!

You Are Here:Thanks A Million!
Thank you_1

Where to start when there are a million people to thank…?!

We must firstly show our gratitude to the Stennetts for allowing access to their most fabulous barn and grounds at Lux Farm, and for the tremendous hard work that goes into making a working farm safe and secure for visitors runners, en masse!

Next up are our invaluable marshals and helpers on the day. It goes without saying that without their input and enthusiasm, we could not stage the event. Lots of these people are family, but all are friends…

Two helpers in particular are of note – our Mums! Once again, they gave up their Mother’s Day morning to do what they do best – and make tea and serve cake! ; ) Actually, what they really do best is support us on our ventures and adventures and this is what we need to thank them for…

We must make a mention to the farmers whose land we all accessed and for their support of the event.

We have had some wonderful sponsors this year, and their generosity, services and skills contribute massively to making the day so different and so much fun… We would very much like to acknowledge:

Kaye Souter (and her wonderful) Flowers

Ruth Leach (and her fabulous) Photography

Anne Gould’s Working Wordz Video

& Rob Lambert’s (heavenly) Massage

The Flying Runner and their marvellous merchandise

The Natural Health Centre for their tantalising treatments, all round help, support and general brilliance

The Fitness-Project and the Suffolk Off-Road Runners for their great enthusiasm and commitment.

Munchy Seeds and their tasty little toasted treats from the home of nutritious nibbling!

Songbird Naturals for their wonderful massage waxes

Paddy & Scott’s Coffee to keep you all alert for the rest of Mothering Sunday afternoon!

We are incredibly grateful to you all – thank you very much!

And of course we must thank those who, in addition to the above, contributed to our enormous Charity Raffle (we think you’ll agree that the prizes were overwhelmingly generous, and helped us to collect an huge pot of gold for Lighthouse Women’s Aid):

Milsom’s Kesgrave Hall

EkhartYoga Online

The Crown, Woodbridge

Weaver’s House Spa, The Swan at Lavenham

The Barn Café and Grange Farm Shop, Hasketon

Kiln Farm Nursery, Kesgrave

The Riverside Cinema & Restaurant, Woodbridge

Seckford Hall

Woodbridge Deli

Neavie B Candles

Decorus Fitwear and

Poppy’s Pantry, Melton

Thanks so much to our two Charity Partners – Lighthouse Women’s Aid and St Elizabeth Hospice who not only supported and promoted our event, but also gave up their time to help out on the day!

We’re also really grateful to those who were working behind the scenes for us and those who were involved with the delivery in person:

Irresistible cakes and yummies from Christine’s Patisserie and Tea Rooms

Harwich Runners for the chip timing

Ipswich JAFFAs for generously lending their equipment

Essex Medics for helping to making sure we stayed safe, and

Brilliantly distracting entertainment from Raging Zoo Face Painting

Thanks also to those ladies who entered the race, but for whatever reason couldn’t run on the day, and so graciously offered to help us out on the day! We’re sure that you’ll be fighting fit for next time! : )

Finally, can we show our appreciation for the glorious weather under which we all basked from which we all benefitted!

Phew! We think you’ll agree that it takes an entire village to get this baby off the ground! We hope you will join us in extended our thanks to all of the above…

We look forward to keeping you in the loop about future Green Health Events and in the meantime, thanks to you for joining us on 26th March for making the Farmhouse Five 2017 such a successful event!

With our very best wishes

Dawn & Phil
